Our Favorite Recipe Books of 2017

Picking favorite books is always painful. We know that the instant we share a list something will remind us of a treasure that we overlooked. And yes, we cheated by not including any baking books here. That means we’re at work on a separate baking list! And a reading list!

What you can’t see is all the scraps of paper we used in making this list, with titles of books that almost made it, that would have made it if only we could have added two more, five more…

That said, all of these are standouts. They have personality, a distinctive approach, and they deliver what they promise. It would be the rare cook who needs all of them, but each sets a very high standard.
