“Stars” is just the right word. You name them and they’re right here, along with their recipes. This good-looking hardcover volume was compiled in 1986 as a fund-raiser for the Country Music Foundation, a research museum and archive of a particular musical style and the industry to which it gave rise.
Who’s on board? Well, to name a few, Emmylou Harris, the Judds, Pee Wee King, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Minnie Pearl, Ricky Skaggs, Hank Williams, Jr, Tammy Wynette. And a heap more. Color photos and a nicely done biographical profile for each of the stars.
Do trust us on this—you haven’t lived until you’ve tried The Statler Brothers’ Impossible Cheeseburger Pie, Brenda Lee’s Jambalaya Shrimp, or Kenny Rogers’ Hot Mulled Punch.
A Very Good unused copy, hardcover edition, published without dust jacket. Presumably a first edition, although not so stated. Great price, great gift. Who could resist?
