  • Mach was such an interesting and engaging person. Every time I was in the shop, he would be fully immersed in conversation with whoever was browsing. I was flooded out by Hurricane Sandy and my heart was broken by the loss if all my journals, notes, books, everything I accumulated over a 20 year career as a pastry chef. There were three books I was desperate to find and I had no actual names or authors. But I remembered the chapter names. He found them. With so little information. And he made a really terrible time so much better. I have those three books in my nightstand as they remain my favorite. We also talked about travel as my honeymoon was in Inverness. His kindness, generosity, and wealth of knowledge will be missed. As will his smile.
