Magazine F is a food documentary magazine which focuses on one ingredient per issue. The magazine explores how each ingredient is grown, prepared, and shared in different cultures around the world, through in-depth interviews, inspiring stories, and beautiful photos. The magazine originates in Korea, where it is published roughly 6 times a year. But as part of its quest to examine the use of foods worldwide, it features information on many locations, traditions, cooks, and producers.

This issue on tomatoes, for instance, explores popular varieties around the world, including Cosmonaut Volkov from the Ukraine, Montserrat, which is cultivated in Catalonia, and Super Sunroad, better known as Daejeo in Korea, where it is prized in salads. Chef Ernesto Iaccarion, the fourth generation of his family to run the Michelin-starred Don Alfonso 1890 in the Sorrento region of Italy, weighs in on tomatoes (the restaurant grows much of its tomato supply itself), as does Hirohisa Koyam, chef-owner of Kyobashi Basara in Tokyo, famed for his tomato sukiyaki. Paperback. Color photographs throughout.
